For $15k I would look into.. -04' mustang gt (this design is way cooler than the 05+ ones. Mainly for power, and alot of upgrades you can get if you have spare money from the $15k.) -GTI is nice, not that fast compared to others, but one of the fastest inline-4's front wheel drive or something like that. -RX8 is too small, and too dangerous cause of its size, i think.. -If you lookin at mustangs also look at the firebird and camaro. -Dont only go into 2 doors, there are some very nice 4 doors as well, like a 2nd hand 2007 Altima 3.5SE sedan is a very nice sporty car, there are others like pontiac g8 etc.. -Since you mentioned styling and reputation you could buy an olllllldd vehicle thats got value when you fix it eg. 67' shelby gt500, old mercedes, old muscle car, and put a new engine in, and new parts.
