Is it possible to buy a used sports car under $14K

A top 5 list wουld bе grеаt. I’m shopping fοr a used sports car rіght now. :)
Thеrе іѕ nο such thing аѕ аn automatic sports car except fοr nеw cars wіth DSG transmissions whісh wіll cost more thаn 14k. Learn hοw tο drive a standard. If уου саnnοt drive a standard chances аrе уου аrе nοt a gοοd enough driver tο drive a used sports car.

  3. You can find a 98-02 LS1 Z28, Trans Am, or Formula for around that price. Their all comparable in speed, but a stripper (few options) Z28 or a Ram-Air Formula would be a little quicker out of the 3.

You could also find a 93-97’s of the same models, but they have an LT1 which isn’t as quick. However, you could pick up a really nice one for under $7K and invest $3500 to have cam/heads/full exhaust installed for you (including labor) and have the rest to boost the transmission.

Mustangs are nice also, and I’m sure you’ll get some Ford guys in here too, but they are not as powerful stock and will not be as quick. I’ve seen bone stock LS1’s run 12.9-13.2’s in the 1/4 and still get 26-28MPG. Those were the 6 speed models though, but still.

Either way, you’ll still be faster than all the options above. The 300ZX’s are nice, but reliability is an issue, especially with a Turbo model. And seriously, a Prelude??? It’s a Sporty car, but by no means is it a Sports car.

    The Oxymoron (post 69)
Give me a break, real sports cars don’t have automatics. That is because sports car drivers will not own on.

  7. Thanks for the post. It contained a lot of great information and I look forward to more posts in the future.

  8. Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!

  9. Car rentals have spread in our town. These are for people who still can’t buy a personal car. Of course people travel a lot and some see that it’s practical to just rent a car than commuting. Instead of paying for the fair, they are more willing to just pay it as rent and have the car.
