Jeep Cherokees with the automatic transmission and four liter engine. Basically the same parts for over 15 years. Parts cheap, available, and huge amount of components for personalizing your truck.
Grand Cherokees are similar, but not as common.
Stay away from the foreign makes, repair parts too expensive.

for that money look at the 02-03 pt crusier from a private party, they all have a/c, cd changer, 4 doors , removable back seats, quit a bit of hauling space with the seats out, gas milage 28mpg, with a 15.8 gal tank. can be tow behind a motor home.

Toyota Carollas run forever! The bodies sometimes need a little work but the running gears are great. Well worth the money!
